The 2015 Miss ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Scholarship Pageant and the Princess Program at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith have set a Feb. 6. application deadline for those interested in participating in the events.
The pageant will take place at 7 p.m. March 14 in the ArcBest Performing Arts Center at 55 S. 7th St., and the winner automatically qualifies for the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Pageant.
The 2014 Miss ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Scholarship Pageant featured 24 contestants and awarded more than $19,000 in cash and scholarship awards last year, with Emily McCollom of Fort Smith winning the pageant.
The Princess Program, a separate activity, allows girls ages 5-10 to appear on stage during the Miss ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú pageant. Participation for the program costs $100 per child, and girls receive a tiara, tickets to a tea party, a T-shirt, goodie bag, two tickets to the Miss ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Scholarship Pageant and a group photo with Miss ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú and Miss Arkansas.
